Public Art “Lunar Obelisk” in Lake Oswego

“Lunar Obelisk” by Jim and Shannon Willis

My father, Jim Willis, and I have created a piece of public art for the city of Lake Oswego. The work entitled “Lunar Obelisk” is a tribute to our closes neighbor the moon. The piece is over 10′ high and is made of ferro cement and copper. Who knows how much it weighs! We plan on doing more public in the future.

    Hello Shannon and Jim,

    Everytime I drive past ‘Lunar Obelisk’ I am reminded of how glad I am that it is in Gallery Without Walls. Thank you again for loaning it to us to showcase for two years.
